The Messengers’ had sugared from the early 1800s to the 1980s. We have tried to keep the romance of the oldest, traditional, structurally largest sugarhouse in Geauga County (still located on our farm) to a 1910 sugarhouse on a conserved farm. In the past 29 years we went from buckets and horses to modern technology. Walk through and enjoy the pictures and conversation about our three generations sugaring along with the Messenger stories passed along to us.
If you would like to walk through our 25 acre Sugarbush and see how we pump the sap up 1800 feet to the sugarhouse, see the tubing, mainlines, etc. we would be glad to take you on a walking tour. Please be prepared for a long walk by wearing warm clothes and boots. Please call to make a reservation for the walking tour.
We are very proud to have a conservation easement on our farm with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy. We would love to share our experiences with you on why we conserved our beautiful farm.
This year we will have limited FREE “Taste of Maple” samples.
We are handicap accessible (not including the Sugarbush tour)
