Join us at Butternut Maple Farm (Est. 1998) where Geauga County Maple Festival Grand Champion Pierre Delafranconi will provide you with a tour of our 2,000 square foot sugarhouse featuring a brand-new state-of-the-art evaporator along with a custom filter press, which Pierre built and manufactured, and numerous storage tanks to accommodate our growing operation. The facility is also home to a welcoming retail store with space for private and small group tours as well as an ADA accessible ramp and bathroom.

Butternut Maple Farm syrup and maple products are organic and are sold within the retail, wholesale, and bulk sales markets and have been shipped nationally and internationally.

Pierre is not only a master syrup maker but also a student of sugaring, always reading and learning about new techniques in the field. He has been featured on videos, podcasts, and newspapers sharing his expertise in the field. In 2023, Pierre and Butternut Maple Farm were featured on Fox 8 New Day Cleveland and Spectrum News and in The Plain Dealer and Sun Newspapers. Pierre’s personal mission includes educating others on the sustainability of maple syrup as well as teaching children about the maple syrup tradition. He spends a great deal of time working with families to set up their sugar bushes, providing guidance so that they can produce their own maple syrup.

Butternut Maple Farm also houses a 1200 square foot greenhouse, growing vegetables year-round.

Maple popcorn and maple tastings will be available for all guests on the tour. Saturday and Sundays from 10 am-noon, we will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast featuring our perfected buttermilk pancake mix paired with our renowned maple syrup. From 1-4 pm, come back for our BBQ lunch specials. While at our sugarhouse, take a tour and shop in our showroom for our award winning maple syrup, sugar, cream, candy, and cotton candy and our newest product: RPM Spice.
